Moataz Alaa is an Egyptian filmmaker who has written, produced, and directed three short narrative films. He started writing and directing in 2017. He graduated from the faculty of Engineering, Ainshams university, And in 2022 He joined High Cinema Institute. “WHEEL” 2017 his first short film which was officially selected in multiple festivals Such as the Egyptian National Film Festival, and Ebbdaa Film Festival For Youth. “ DIARY OF THE EMPTY CITY” 2021 his second film had a worldwide journey in multiple international festivals such as Angaelica Film Festival in the USA, International Moving Film Festival in Iran. And Won Best Subject Award at Cinemaking International Film Festival in Bangladesh. “ THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ME” 2022 was an official Selection of Lift-Off film festival in London. “ THE REHEARSAL“ 2023 was an official selection of Ismailia International Film festival, Stuednt world Impact Film festival, And won The Outstanding Achievement prize from Rohatak film festival.
