Kai H. Kayser

Prof. Kai H. Kayser was born 1972 in Munich, Bavaria. He studied fine arts in Spain with J. Torrens Lladó, and worked from 1994 on as freelance artist and designer for some of Europe's most famous brands and companies. From 2014 until 2017 he taught art and design at the Anhui Xinhua University in Hefei, China. In 2015 Kayser founded Corzada in Beijing, then expanded to Hong Kong, 2018 to Germany, 2019 to the USA and in 2020 to Portugal. Kayser lives in Portugal with his wife and partner Ella Lu. Kayser is also the Co-founder of the US American company Rippledip LLC, a marketing company. In 2005 Kayser defined his art as "semiotic realism". This style is referencing art history, literature, philosophy and pop culture in a new way, using each element as a "sign" in a semiotic sense. Kayser created and designed the C5 characters, wrote the stories and directed each clip and episode. He also wrote "C5. The semiotics, Philosophy, Art and Design behind the Phenomenon"
