A one-hour documentary produced by Voice of America examines the reasons behind the more than 110 self-immolations that have taken place in Tibetan areas of China since 2009. Combining smuggled footage, first-hand accounts, and interviews with experts, scholars, and officials, the film offers an in-depth and comprehensive look at the recent history of Tibet and what lies at the heart of one of the largest waves of self-immolations in history.
