During a storm, fishermen were rescued by mermaids and adopted a baby mermaid, naming the boy Xiangyang and the girl Yuxia. They grew up together. Lu Jiajia fell for Xiangyang, while Fu Erdai, jealous, harassed him. Xiangyang transformed into Yu Xia to escape, claiming to be Xiangyang’s sister, and Fu Erdai fell for Yu Xia. Haunted by being abandoned, Xiangyang activated Lu Jiajia’s blood pearl, learning of his origins and its powers, sparking greed and rebellion. Love ultimately triumphed, and Xiangyang found home where love was.
