Simen 2015 Directed by Øystein Frøyland

A film about the joy of life

In 2004, Olav and Heidi Aabrekk had a severely brain-damaged son. Despite poor forecasts, the parents refused to give up hope of a positive development for the boy Simen. With the help of a self-composed method for comprehensive sensory stimulation, intensive motor training and optimal nutrition, Simen learned to read, write and communicate already as a 3-year-old.
