In Cenas de Família, Persici records both playful personal moments and everyday happenings throughout the municipality of Castelo. The filmmaker tours around the state of Espírito Santo by car and train overjoyed with the registration possibilities of his camera. Today, Cenas de Família, which is the only surviving film of Persici, is considered to be one of the most important historical documents of early Brazilian cinema.
