We see the ancient Bori religion practiced in Hausa communities before the Islamic invasion, uncovering its spiritual significance and the forces that led to its decline. It also examines the surviving indigenous religions and cultural traditions in today’s southwestern Yoruba and eastern Igbo communities, revealing how they have endured despite centuries of external influence.
